Finance is my new subject for Summer!!

Please keep me in your prayer daily for my new class in Summer semester, which will be started tonight!! --kind of in a 'panic' mode!! I knew God will bring me through as He brought Israel people through the Red sea... but, just need a prayer army to be my backup! --even I knew that I shouldn't be panic--human being is like this friends!!

Principles of Accounting & Finance --It's my first time ever to learn about this field... I'm not quite good in this function!! Shocked

however, it's a requirement subject that I need to complete... I heard that some students have to repeat this class...... Sad

For MOL students, this subject is not learn and memorize the meaning of terms or learn what the principles are... moreover, we have to learn how to applicants those principles into business interpretation for dicision making of the future business cycle-- we need to learn how to create the best strategy by reading those finance information (through accounting report, finance report) and estimate the consequences of the next step of decision making for the business future [from the caurse syslabi]

I've been reading some of finance report, accounting statement, finance statement before... I just know what the company's status was as dated, but couldn't see the pattern that draw to the decision making yet... hope I can do after this class!! haaa haaa../ Shocked

Just only hope that i wouldn't need to repeat this class! I don't dare to dream of 'A' or 'B' for this subject... just give me pass!!! --may God's mercy be with me too--grade 'A' or 'B' is my desire!!! Very Happy

Yes I did through the MBA classes (you have to take Finances and Acct), but I emphasized on IT. Vee emphasized in Accounting. And yes if I can help, not sure how much I can remember though. Wink

I was surviving tonight... so far still so good... (not complicate application yet)--kind of Acctg 101 for tonight...

the in-class exercises were interesting... I kind of like it though! --good sign to start!! haaa haaaa... Shocked

I have 2 homework assignments:
1) create Finance Statements [Income statement, Statement of Retained Earning, and Balance sheet from the source given
2) do transaction analysis from the sources given and complete with Finance Statements (3 kinds above)

The tricky but fun part is identifying the categories for those items given... because some items look like revenues but guess what, it's not!! some looks like expenses, but it's Liability or part of assets... --fun though! haaa haaa... good start!! --we allow to use Exel for the assignments!! --thank God!! I hate calculating lot of numbers at once--numbers drive me nuts!!

thank God that not too many students for this Summer... just 7 of us, 2 students (I'm one of the 2) are grounded zero for the Acctg knowledge, other 5 are involving with some acctg/fin in their jobs. hope that I will make it through the end!! Laughing

Thanks all... if I have any problems with this subject, I will definitely bother some of you for sure!! --now I'm using acctg-aid online to resolve my curious questions I have so far

Wanna give thank to God for my mid-term exam!!! My goodness, I barely believed when I saw the score I've got!!! Shocked

Got 94 of 100.... haaa haaa.... and if I didn't forget to make a financial comments (2 items), i would have earn 100 score!!!! just found that I totally forgot to write comments on interpreting numbers... didn't know why I miss that part--because I knew my comments would be correct too... huey.....

however, God gave me 94 is very encouraging me to keep on studying in this subject!!! I'll have a final exam next Tuesday, hope that I'll do better or at least not lower than what I have got at the mid-term!! Surprised

Thanks for all of your prayers.... it keeps me in God's grace in everything I do!! Laughing

Finally, I just finished Acct&Fin... had final exam last Tuesday... pretty much sure that I should pass this exam!! Smile
